TRUMAN supports "SHE IS SCIENCE" project by STEM is FEM

Today, on the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, our partners from STEM is FEM are announcing an incredible project at the intersection of science and art. "SHE IS SCIENCE". The project includes an art exhibition dedicated to Ukrainian female scientists and an essay contest, for the valuable prizes of which young girls will soon be able to compete.

"We can still argue about whether to write herstory instead of history. We can admire the way feminitives sound – still unusual but so beautiful at the same time. We argue about the correct suffixes in them, but do not accept compromises in the recognition of women in the profession," - says Ivan Vaneev, managing partner of TRUMAN.

And we are categorical in emphasizing the equality with which both women and men contribute to the development of any sphere of human life. And we strongly support and encourage initiatives that promote such thinking.

"SHE IS SCIENCE" project is designed to dispel the stereotype of science "with a man's face" through art. Moreover, like everything that STEM is FEM is dedicated to, "SHE IS SCIENCE" aims to give young girls confidence in choosing a "male" profession at STEM.

The organizers promise to announce the details of an essay contest later. And we, together with other project partners - UN Women, UNICEF Ukraine, Unit City, Asters, Spline art, The Page and StarLightMedia - will be happy to support them in the development of the wonderful "SHE IS SCIENCE" project.
